What Is Scarlet Night?
Scarlet Night is a ship-wide celebration that typically takes place on the second or third evening of your voyage. The entire ship is bathed in red lighting, and sailors are encouraged to wear something red. The event features live performances, DJs, specialty cocktails, and a climactic pool deck party that rivals the best nightclubs on land.
How to Prepare
Pack something red. It does not have to be elaborate — a red shirt, dress, scarf, or even red lipstick will do. Some sailors go all out with red sequins and costumes, while others keep it casual. The key is participating. Virgin Voyages also sells limited-edition Scarlet Night merchandise on board if you forget to pack red.
The Schedule
Scarlet Night typically kicks off around 9 PM with performances at The Manor and Red Room. Around 11 PM the party moves to the pool deck for the main event, featuring aerialists, fire performers, and a DJ set that keeps the energy high until the early hours. There are also quieter Scarlet Night activities at various bars for those who prefer a more relaxed evening.
