The Red Room is Virgin Voyages’ transformable entertainment venue and the heart of the ship’s live performance lineup. Unlike traditional cruise ship theaters with fixed stages, the Red Room can shift between multiple configurations to create completely different experiences each night.
How the Red Room Works
The venue features a transformable floor that can be configured as a traditional theater, a flat-floor standing room, a runway, or a full 360-degree in-the-round setup. This flexibility allows Virgin Voyages to stage shows that would be impossible in a conventional cruise ship theater.
The Shows
Duel Reality is a high-energy acrobatic show that combines circus arts with a love story. The aerial performances are genuinely breathtaking and this is consistently rated the top show across all ships. Never Sleep Alone is a raunchy, interactive comedy experience hosted by Dr. Sonjay. It is adults-only in every sense and absolutely hilarious. Ships in the Night is a contemporary dance production with stunning choreography and lighting design that showcases the Red Room’s technical capabilities.
Beyond the Red Room
Entertainment on Virgin Voyages extends well beyond the main theater. The Manor hosts DJs and late-night dance parties. The Groupie is an intimate karaoke lounge. On Deck offers outdoor movie screenings under the stars. And various bars throughout the ship feature live musicians, trivia, and themed events every evening.
