I’m flexible on dates and trying to get the best deal on a VV cruise. Is there a best time of year to book? Do they have regular sales? I’ve heard of Sailor Pricing but not sure when those happen.
VV runs Sailor Pricing events several times a year — these are their biggest promotions with perks like free Bar Tab, onboard credit, or reduced deposits. They often coincide with Wave Season (January-March), Black Friday, and occasionally in September/October. Sign up for VV emails to get notified.
In my experience, the absolute best deals come from booking early during a Sailor Pricing event AND choosing off-peak dates. Mid-week departures and shoulder season sailings (early/late Caribbean season, beginning/end of Med season) tend to have the lowest base fares.
Also check with a travel advisor — agencies like Pixie Vacations sometimes have exclusive group rates or bonus onboard credit that you can stack on top of VV promotions. It doesn’t cost extra to use a travel advisor and you often get a better deal than booking direct.
