Our voyage has Scarlet Night on Day 3. I’ve heard it’s the highlight of the cruise but I’m not sure what to expect or what to wear. Is it worth making a big deal about the outfit? What actually happens during the event?

YES, go all out with the outfit! The more red you wear the better. It’s one of those things that gets more fun the more you commit to it. The event starts with a special dinner vibe and builds throughout the evening. There are performers roaming the ship, special themed cocktails, and the big moment usually happens on the pool deck with fire performers, aerial acts, and an epic DJ set. It’s genuinely one of the best nights at sea on any cruise line.

The ship’s energy completely transforms on Scarlet Night. Everyone is dressed up in red, the crew goes all out, and there’s this incredible build-up throughout the evening. Without spoiling too much, the pool deck spectacle around 10-11 PM is jaw-dropping. I’ve done it three times and it still gives me chills.

Pro tip: pack a red outfit that you can dance in. The night goes late and you’ll want to be comfortable at The Manor afterward. Some people go super creative with their red outfits — sequins, red suits, head-to-toe scarlet. The more festive the better!
