If Scarlet Lady was Virgin Voyages proving it could reinvent cruising, Valiant Lady is the ship that proved it wasn’t a fluke. Launched in 2022 as the fleet’s second vessel, Valiant Lady shares her sister’s DNA — the same adults-only concept, the same included-everything pricing, the same Tom Dixon–designed cabins — but she’s carved out her own identity as the fleet’s globe-trotter. While Scarlet Lady sticks mostly to short Caribbean hops from Miami, Valiant Lady splits her year between the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, transatlantic crossings, and even the occasional run up to New York and Iceland.

And in 2026, she’s getting some exciting upgrades. Here’s everything you need to know.

What’s New on Valiant Lady in 2026

The May 2026 Drydock

Valiant Lady enters drydock at Fincantieri’s yard in Palermo, Sicily from May 9–25, 2026. This is her first major refresh since launching, and it’s bringing meaningful changes beyond the usual hull cleaning and safety inspections.

The headline addition is Ariya, a brand-new Indian restaurant developed in partnership with celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan. Named after Sir Richard Branson’s great-great-grandmother — a traveler from the coastal town of Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu — Ariya transforms the Razzle Dazzle space each evening into a 220-seat Indian culinary experience. Think Lamb Shank Biryani, Goan Curried Mussels, Malabar Coconut Crab Cake, and Tandoori Pistachio-Crusted Snapper. During the day, the space continues serving the beloved Razzle Dazzle breakfast and brunch menu. Dining at Ariya is included in your fare — no cover charge.

This follows the pattern we’ve seen across the fleet: Scarlet Lady’s Razzle Dazzle became Lucky Lotus (Chinese), and now Valiant Lady gets Ariya (Indian). Each ship is developing its own culinary personality, which is a smart move that gives repeat sailors a reason to try different ships.

Brooklyn, Baby

If you’re sailing from New York in 2026, heads up: Valiant Lady has moved from Manhattan’s Pier 90 to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal starting April 6, 2026. The Manhattan pier is undergoing infrastructure upgrades that have limited cruise ship capacity. The Brooklyn terminal is fully functional and well-connected — just a different embarkation experience. Plan your pre-cruise logistics accordingly.

Comedy Fest at Sea

One of the most talked-about sailings of 2026 is the Virgin Voyages Comedy Fest departing Brooklyn on April 11 for a 5-night roundtrip to Bermuda. In partnership with Don’t Tell Comedy, this voyage packs stand-up headliners, surprise pop-up sets, and interactive comedy experiences alongside Virgin’s signature dining and entertainment. Prices started around $1,025 for an inside cabin.

Condé Nast Gold List Recognition

Valiant Lady was named to Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Gold List, adding to her already impressive trophy case that includes Travel + Leisure’s #1 Mega Cruise Ship and Cruise Critic’s Best Large Cruise Ship awards.

Valiant Lady Cabins — What to Book

Valiant Lady’s cabin layout is identical to her sisters, which means 86% of cabins come with a balcony — and every single balcony has a hammock. If you’ve never fallen asleep swaying over the ocean at night, you’re missing out.

Virgin Voyages organizes cabins into four tiers. Valiant Lady offers a total of 1,404 cabins broken down as follows:

Insider (Interior) — 105 Cabins

The most affordable option. No window, but the cabin design is clever enough that it never feels claustrophobic. The “Seabed” converts from a sofa by day to a bed at night, which gives you more floor space during daytime hours. Some sailors love the flexibility; others prefer a traditional bed that stays a bed. Worth noting if you’re a light sleeper or just prefer not to make your bed twice a day.

Sea View (Oceanview) — 95 Cabins

A porthole window adds natural light without the premium of a full balcony. A solid middle-ground option.

Sea Terrace (Balcony) — 1,126 Cabins

This is the sweet spot and where we’d recommend booking for your first voyage. The balconies are wider and deeper than what you’ll find on most cruise lines, and the hammock is genuinely one of the best features on the ship. Morning coffee in a hammock watching the Mediterranean coast slide by? That’s the Virgin Voyages experience right there.

RockStar Quarters (Suites) — 78 Cabins

The all-out luxury tier. RockStar Quarters range from the “Seriously Suite” (a spacious upgrade with terrace) up to the Mega RockStar suites — including the 2,147-square-foot Massive Suite, the largest cabin in the fleet.

RockStar perks include: dedicated RockStar Agents (personal butlers), premium drinks included everywhere on board, a personalized in-room bar restocked to your preferences, Richard’s Rooftop access with daily happy hour, priority boarding, airport transfers, complimentary Thermal Suite spa access, laundry and pressing service, and early access to special events.

Are they worth it? If you’re celebrating something big — honeymoon, anniversary, milestone birthday — absolutely. The RockStar experience is genuinely a different level of service. For a standard vacation, the Sea Terrace gives you 90% of the experience at a fraction of the price.

Dining on Valiant Lady — Every Restaurant

One of the best things about Virgin Voyages is that every restaurant is included in your fare. No cover charges at the main venues, no nickel-and-diming. There’s no main dining room and no buffet — instead, you get 20+ distinct eateries ranging from fine dining to late-night pizza.

Sit-Down Restaurants (Reservation Recommended)

  • The Wake — Steak and seafood with ocean views through the stern windows. This is the “special occasion” dinner spot. The dry-aged tomahawk is legendary.
  • Extra Virgin — Intimate Italian. Fresh pasta, wood-fired dishes, and a wine list that leans into Italian and Mediterranean selections. One of our favorites across the fleet.
  • Pink Agave — Modern Mexican with a tequila and mezcal bar. The mole dishes and ceviche are standouts.
  • Gunbae — Interactive Korean BBQ where you grill at your table. Communal, loud, and genuinely fun. Great for making friends with fellow sailors.
  • Test Kitchen — A fixed multi-course tasting menu that changes seasonally. This is the most “experimental” dining on board. Think culinary theater.
  • Ariya (NEW — Post-May 2026) — Modern Indian cuisine by Maneet Chauhan. Replaces Razzle Dazzle at dinner. Regional dishes from across India with chaat as a starring element. Exclusively on Valiant Lady.
  • Razzle Dazzle — Continues serving its popular vegetable-forward breakfast and brunch menu during daytime hours.

Casual & Quick-Service (No Reservation Needed)

  • The Galley — A modern food hall replacing the traditional buffet concept. Multiple stations covering everything from Asian noodles to plant-based and seafood.
  • The Pizza Place — Legit wood-fired pizza available throughout the day. One of the best quick bites at sea.
  • The Dock / Dock House — Casual oceanside lounge with light bites.
  • Lick Me Till Ice Cream — Yes, that’s really the name. And yes, the soft-serve is excellent.

What costs extra? A handful of premium “Treat Yourself” items carry supplements ranging from $25–$125 (think premium cuts, lobster upgrades). Room service also carries a small delivery fee.

Pro tip: Book your restaurant reservations as soon as they open — 45 days before sailing (60 days for RockStar guests). The Wake and Test Kitchen fill up first. You can manage all reservations through the Virgin Voyages app.

Valiant Lady Itineraries in 2026

This is where Valiant Lady really differentiates herself. No other ship in the fleet covers this much ground in a single year.

Spring: New York & Bermuda (April – Early May)

Valiant Lady kicks off 2026 sailing from Brooklyn, New York with 4–5 night runs to Bermuda and Charleston. These shorter sailings are perfect for first-timers or anyone wanting a long-weekend escape. The Comedy Fest sailing (April 11) is the marquee event of this season.

Drydock: Palermo, Sicily (May 9–25)

The ship gets her refresh, including Ariya and general upgrades.

Summer: Mediterranean from Barcelona (Late May – August)

This is Valiant Lady’s signature season. 6–8 night Mediterranean sailings from Barcelona visit some of Europe’s most stunning ports: Provence (Toulon) in France, Tuscany and Cinque Terre (Marina di Carrara) in Italy, Ajaccio in Corsica, Ibiza in Spain, and additional ports across the French and Italian Riviera. The 7-night “Irresistible Med” itineraries are among the most popular in the entire Virgin Voyages lineup.

Special: Iceland Solar Eclipse Voyage (August 2026)

One of the most unique sailings in all of cruising for 2026 — a 15-night voyage departing from the UK on August 5 that sails around the British Isles and up to Iceland to witness a solar eclipse, then returns via the North Atlantic to New York. If you can swing the time off, this is a once-in-a-lifetime itinerary.

Fall: New York & Bermuda (September – October)

Valiant Lady returns to Brooklyn for another round of Bermuda sailings before heading south.

Winter: Caribbean from Miami (Late 2026 – Early 2027)

The ship repositions to Miami for winter Caribbean sailings, including 6-night Western Caribbean itineraries visiting Honduras (Roatán), Costa Maya (Mexico), and Bimini Beach Club, plus 8-night Eastern Caribbean and Antilles itineraries to Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), San Juan (Puerto Rico), St. Croix (USVI), and Bimini.

Entertainment & Nightlife

Virgin Voyages doesn’t do production shows with sequined costumes and Broadway medleys. Instead, the entertainment is edgier, more immersive, and designed for adults who actually want to stay up past 10 PM.

  • Duel Reality — A cirque-style acrobatic show in The Red Room. Easily the most visually stunning show on board.
  • UNTITLED DANCESHOWPARTYTHING — Exactly as chaotic and fun as the name suggests. Part dance show, part audience participation, part fever dream.
  • It’s a Ship Show — A variety show that rotates performers.
  • The Diva — Valiant Lady’s resident drag queen hosts events and performs in The Red Room. A fan favorite.
  • Club Caliente — Latin dance night in The Manor, the ship’s two-story nightclub.
  • The Magnets — An a cappella group that performs throughout the voyage.
  • Scarlet Night — Virgin’s signature fleet-wide party where the whole ship turns red and the energy ramps up to festival levels.

Beyond the scheduled shows, Virgin peppers in pop-up performances, DJ sets, themed parties, and late-night Manor sessions that keep the nightlife going well into the early hours.

Wellness & Fitness

Virgin Voyages takes wellness seriously — more so than most cruise lines.

  • Redemption Spa — The Thermal Suite is a highlight, featuring a hydrotherapy pool, salt room, cold plunge pools, and heated stone loungers. RockStar guests get complimentary access; everyone else can purchase day passes or individual treatments.
  • The Athletic Club — An outdoor fitness area on the top deck with a running track, basketball court, and boxing ring.
  • Group Fitness Classes — Included in your fare. Daily yoga, spin, HIIT, and the famous “Vitamin Sea” outdoor workout classes. No extra charge.
  • B-Complex — The indoor gym with ocean views.

Tips for Sailing Valiant Lady in 2026

  1. Download the app early. Everything runs through the Virgin Voyages Sailor App — restaurant reservations, spa bookings, shore excursions, and your “key” to your cabin. Get familiar with it before embarkation day.
  2. Book restaurants at the 45-day mark. Set a reminder. The Wake and Test Kitchen go fast. After drydock, expect Ariya to be heavily in demand too.
  3. Don’t skip The Galley. It looks casual, but the food quality rivals many sit-down restaurants. The noodle bar and the Mexican station are particularly good.
  4. Hit the spa on port days. When most sailors disembark for excursions, the ship (and the Thermal Suite) empties out. It’s the best time for a quiet, uncrowded spa experience.
  5. Pack for the hammock. You’ll want to spend time on your balcony. A light blanket or throw from home makes those hammock evenings even better.
  6. The pools are small. This is the one consistent complaint about Virgin Voyages. The pool areas aren’t huge, and loungers fill up fast on sea days. Grab yours early or use the quieter Athletic Club deck.
  7. If sailing from Brooklyn — allow extra time for logistics. The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is well-run but in a different part of the city than most tourists are used to. Rideshares are your best bet.

Valiant Lady vs. Other VV Ships

Valiant Lady shares her hull design, cabin layout, and most venues with Scarlet Lady and Resilient Lady. The differences come down to:

  • Exclusive restaurant: Ariya (Indian) is only on Valiant Lady. Scarlet Lady has Lucky Lotus (Chinese). Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady have their own Razzle Dazzle variants.
  • Itinerary range: Valiant Lady covers more ground than any ship in the fleet — New York, Mediterranean, Transatlantic, Caribbean, and even Iceland.
  • Entertainment cast: Each ship has its own resident performers, so shows feel different even when the format is the same.

If you’ve already sailed Scarlet Lady and want to explore the Mediterranean or try a transatlantic crossing, Valiant Lady is the natural next step.

Yes. All Virgin Voyages ships, including Valiant Lady, are strictly 18+ on every sailing. No exceptions.

What is the best cabin on Valiant Lady?

Does Valiant Lady go to Bimini Beach Club?
Yes — on her Caribbean itineraries from Miami (winter season). Mediterranean and New York sailings do not include Bimini.
